Lapeer, to parents

Milton and Eleanor

(Kerbyson) Hodgson.

Mrs. Gossage graduated from Lapeer

High School, class of

1954. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lapeer, where she always enjoyed working at the church rummage sales. Meeting and socializing with people was one of her favorite things, Evonna loved to have and attend garage sales…. just to talk with and greet new people. Mrs. Gossage was involved, for many years, with the Country Music Jamboree often held in Elba. Evonna worked many years, with her brother, at The Little Miner Jewelry Shop in Lapeer. Mrs. Gossage enjoyed being outdoors; walking, walking and more walking, with her beloved dog “Sonny”. Above all else, Evonna loved time spent with family!

Evonna is survived by her children, Jeff (Renee) Pietszyk of Flint and Jayne (Ron) Cannell of Davison; grandchildren, Jessica (Kaylon) List of St. Louis, MO, Heather Dudla of Flint, Nicole (fiance Emanuel Solito) Cannell of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Amber Cannell of Davison; great-grandchildren, Isaac Dudla, Jade Dudla and Ariyah Dudla; friend, Leroy Bressler of Lapeer; and brother, Milton “Mick” (Kathy) Hodgson of Lapeer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Hodgson King; father, Milton Hodgson; sister, Barbara Miklovich; brother, Robert Hodgson; and nephew, Michael Miklovich.

Memorial contributions may be made the First Presbyterian Church, 433 N. Calhoun St., Lapeer, MI 48446.

Visitation was held Friday, March 9, 2018, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. No Formal Funeral Service will take place. Cremation followed visitation.
