ROBERT W. “BOB” BROCKER, 70, of Clio (formerly of Lapeer), died June 3, 2018 at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Bob was born April 26, 1948, in Flint, to Wayne and Betty (Wadsworth) Brocker of Lapeer. He graduated from Lapeer High School in 1966. In December of 1966, he hired into Michigan Bell Telephone Co. and retired in 1997 after 31 years of seniority. Bob was a member of Clio Eagles #3609 and Sons of the American Legion Post #16. He loved going up north, spending time with friends (too many to list), NASCAR races, grilling, campfires, and drinking beer.

He is survived by his loving family: three children, Roger (Kim) Brocker, Gregory (Carla) Brocker, Amy Brocker-Banks; six grandchildren; father, Wayne (Cathie) Brocker; brother, Keith (Alana) Brocker; sister, Wendy (Robert) Kern; and several nieces, nephews and dear relatives. Bob has spent the last 32 years of his life loving and being loved by Judy Schroeder and her daughters, Jennifer Schroeder and Lorinda Schroeder. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty J. Brocker.

Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial dinner will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Clio Eagles, 13267 N. Saginaw Road, Clio. Bob’s wishes were to be cremated and he just wanted family and friends to gather, share memories and have a beer.
