LCT plans fall comedy dinner production

ELBA TWP. — The end of summer means the beginning of the Lapeer Community Theatre (LCT) season, and the group is hitting the ground running.

LCT will be presenting its latest comedy dinner theatre murder mystery “Spies Like Us,” written by Susan Haley, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28 and 29. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m. The show begins at 7 p.m.

The show, directed by Lisa Smith, is family-friendly, with a rating of PG and will be held at the Lapeer Country Club on 3786 Hunt Rd in Elba Township.

“Spies Like Us” tells the story of Dr. Ernest Terrence Mars, who is a renowned scientist and an expert in the field of alien research. His flu eradication drug, Tetracyclonine, will be the talk of the medical world after he completes Phase 2 of the testing. The audience plays a role in the show as Phase 2 test subjects.
