Write a letter to J.K Rowling at the Metamora Branch Library

METAMORA — The Lapeer District Library’s Metamora Branch (4018 S. Oak St.) is running a new monthly program to encourage patrons of all ages to write to their favorite authors. The program, Monthly Fan Mail, runs every month with a new author for visitors to write to. In the past, patrons have written to Eric Carle, Jeff Kinney, and several others.

“The hope in beginning this new program is that children and adults alike will find joy in writing and will hone their writing skills, while sending encouraging letters to people who have touched their lives,” said co-branch manager Lorry Traver.

Stationary and writing utensils will be provided at the Metamora Library and all completed letters will be mailed to J.K. Rowling at the beginning of November.

Call the Metamora Branch library at 810-678- 2991 for additional information about this program. To learn more about the Lapeer District Library and see what other programs are available or to register for programs online, visit www.library.lapeer.org.
