Awe-sum robot at fire department

Umut Eren, an exchange student from Turkey, and Bryce Munson, show off the Almont Township Fire Department’s newest vehicle — a remote control fire truck. Eren, Munson and other members of Almont High School’s FIRST Robotics team Shock and Awe-sum 4961 bought a Power Wheel toy and converted it to a remote-control vehicle complete with lights, siren and a speaker. Assistant Coach Mandy Ott said the fire department will use the vehicle for safety demonstrations at area schools and special events.
