READER FEEDBACK

‘Thanks’ to all Fantasy Forest participants

The 23rd Annual Fantasy Forest at Rowden Park was on Saturday, Oct. 13. Fifty-two stations of local service organizations, businesses, and government agencies lined the trail and stayed active handing out treats, playing games and interacting with persons of all ages.

With community support and under the watch of Voiture 1536 40 & 8, Fantasy Forest raised monies to benefit local service organizations throughout Lapeer County. The 40 & 8 extends our sincere appreciation to over 2,600 parents, grandparents and children who walked the trail, as well as the hundreds of station volunteers, advertisers and sponsors.

Be a good citizen and vote

Dear fellow citizens of the United States of America. As citizens of this great country, we have a Constitution that documents our many freedoms.

• Freedom of Speech

• Freedom of Religion

• Freedom to protect our families

• Freedom to vote for those who govern us.

Be a good citizen and vote. Our freedoms depend on it.

Daley is the best choice to represent us in Lansing

Kevin Daley ran against Mike Green in 2014, and came up a little short. I often ask myself how that happened. Mike Green really hasn’t made himself openly available to the hard working citizens of the 31st district, like every State Senator should.

He has always appeared to be more concerned with “big politics” and climbing the ladder, rather than making time to converse with the people he represents. It’s no surprise to me to hear that State Sen. Mike Green has endorsed State Rep. Gary Glenn to fill his spot. After all, Kevin Daley gave Mike Green a run for his (money) in 2014, and Gary Glenn appears to be in it for the fame and money as well.

I for one, am choosing to stand for Kevin Daley. In the time since the last vote, I have gotten to know Mr. Daley. He loves the State of Michigan and has a passionate drive to positively affect the people he represents. His hard work and devotion to his farm and family, are examples of how he hopes to take care of our district. Kevin and his wife are two of the nicest people in the world. Many politicians make you feel like just another voter, but Kevin Daley makes you feel like a friend.

So besides being a great guy, why am I voting for Kevin Daley on Nov. 6? Kevin Daley is a lifetime farmer, which makes him perfect to represent the 31st District. He’s pro-life from conception, pro-second amendment and acknowledges Constitutional Carry, pro-job growth, and wants to help our skilled trades in schools.

Kevin Daley is endorsed and supported by a bunch of people, including Congressman Paul Mitchell, Congresswoman Candice Miller, Sherriff McKenna and even Ted Nugent. This year let’s get it right, and vote for someone who will actually represent our district for all of us. Vote for Kevin Daley.

Democrats destroying the country

What is a progressive?

Progressives began as a social movement and grew into a political movement. Progressive is a term that encompasses a wide spectrum of social movements that include environmentalism, labor, agrarianism, anti-poverty, peace, anti-racism, civil rights, women’s rights, animal rights, social justice and political ideologies such as anarchism, communism, socialism, social democracy and liberalism. The Democratic Party are progressives — this is what is destroying this country.

One of their worst characteristics is that everything is drama. They thrive on drama and emotions, enforcing political correctness, guilt, racism, feminism, hollow promises, woe is us — while at the same time blaming the Republicans for all the dirty deeds they have actually done.

With rights come responsibilities — the right to do what is right — not the right to riot and blindly protest. Riots and mob rule in a democracy are controlled by unreasonable and unrealistic emotions with an agenda.

We have a president who has done more for this country than any other president in history. While doing so he has been under attack 24/7 by the liberals and the news media that the liberals control.

This country is at war for its very existence and soul. What the liberals accuse the Republicans of (being Fascist, wanting to undermine any “progress” this has country made in the past 20 years, etc.) is exactly who they are and their want to reverse the progress President Trump has made. This is all documented. Do your own homework before you vote and before it is too late.
